Climbing with inflection points
2026-08-07
Most ranked games are not decided by the final team fight. They are decided by the two or three moments where one side gained a lead and the other failed to respond.
Find the swing
The first step is separating real turning points from noise. A kill is not a turning point if it does not change map pressure or gold. A dragon is not a turning point if the enemy is already ahead. Look for moments where the gold lead graph changes slope — that is usually where a fight, objective, or macro mistake created or erased an advantage.
Ask one question per death
For every death near an inflection, ask: was I where I needed to be, did I know where the enemy was, and was the fight worth taking? One honest answer is more useful than ten vod reviews.
Build the next draft
Once you know your most common mistake — overextension, poor recall timing, missing objective posture — queue your next match with one rule. Small, single-rule adjustments climb faster than trying to fix everything at once.
